Attenuation of Senescence-Induced Oxidative Exacerbations in Aged Rat Testis by Ferula Elaeochytris Root Extract

Objective: Age brings about changes to the oxidant and antioxidant balance of male testis that give rise loss fertility. The Ferula elaeochytris root extract (FE), contents anti-inflammatory component, have been used treat infertility by local people for centuries. main objectives this study were determine whether FE was effective on sperm quality, spermatogenesis, apoptosis oxidative stress in aged rat. Methods: Four groups formed with 40 rats; young Control (YC), Aged (AC), administrated rat (A+FE) vitamin E (A+VE). Vitamin administered orally 8 weeks. Results: administration significantly increased serum TAS, testetorone levels decreased testicular malondialdehyde (MDA) activity, these accompanied reduced TNF-α, TOS levels. Also, germ cell, tubular diameter, germinal epithelium height Johnson’s score a regulated after (p<0.05). Meanwhile, present context, group count, motility, weight declined significantly. showed effect motility count. Conclusive: These findings support aging induces inflammation, could protect against damaging effects via its anti-oxidative, action modulate spermatogenesis.
